Our Services

Audit of financial statements
An audit’s reliability depends on the skill and expertise of the people conducting it. Our team is made up of specialists who have in-depth knowledge and experience in a wide range of industries. This means whether you’re a company, trust, incorporated society, charity or something outside the norm, we can help deliver coherent, practical results you can trust.
Review of financial statements
If you don’t need a full audit, but still require some assurance, we can help by carrying out a review. This process is similar to an audit, but is conducted on a limited scale.
Internal audits
Our risk-based audit procedures are designed to meticulously test how robust your organisation’s current internal controls and systems are. From this we can identify and recommend improvements that will fit your organisation’s framework and capabilities.
We can perform internal audits on a one-off basis or as a part of a regular, systematic approach.
We begin this process by conducting an initial risk assessment, and then work with you to develop a planned approach that focuses on high risk areas first.
In a recent internal audit by our team, we helped a client audit their procurement process, because it had been identified as a high risk area. During this audit we reviewed the suitability of their procurement policies and procedures, the staff compliance rate, and the effectiveness of their internal controls, monitoring and reporting tools. We were able to identify key areas for improvement and made recommendations that will help make their process more robust and efficient.

System reviews and documentations
Many organisations have systems and processes that aren’t operating as smoothly as they could.
We review systems to ensure they are logical, appropriate, and practical for safeguarding your organisation’s assets – and will produce reliable financial or non-financial data.
For example, we recently worked with a client’s finance department to assess their productivity and processes, and how well it was supporting other departments within the organisation. We reviewed the key tasks, operations and systems the team managed, and assessed the key skills required for supporting the organisation’s needs. Through this process we identified which activities were delivering the most value and which were less beneficial, and made recommendations for how to improve other areas of their work.

Public service audits and advisory
Linda Gray, AuditLink’s Managing Director, is an approved auditor for the Office of the Auditor General (OAG). This means Linda can undertake approved audits on behalf of the OAG e.g. audits of schools.
AML/CFT audits and compliance
It’s no secret that New Zealand has a great international reputation, but we need to keep it that way. That’s why the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009 (AML/CFT Act) was introduced to detect and deter money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
If you are a reporting entity, as defined by the AML/CFT Act, you are required to have your AML/CFT risk assessment and your AML/CFT programme audited every two years or when asked by your AML/CFT supervisor.
Don’t worry – it might sound complicated but we can make it all straightforward. Get in touch for further information.
